Caterers, Restaurants & Taverns Grant

Baltimore City will award up to $2,087,705.46 in total grant funds to Caterers, Taverns & Restaurants under this program. Grant funds have been made available by the State of Maryland, and restricted to COVID-related expenses incurred, or to be incurred, by qualifying grantees.

Application Period
The Grant Application Period will begin on May 3, 2021 and end on May 17, 2021 at 11:59PM. Grants WILL NOT BE AWARDED ON A FIRST-COME FIRST- SERVED BASIS. All applications received during the Grant Application Period will be considered. Any applications received after the end date will not be considered.

Please review the eligibility requirements and full Terms & Conditions before submitting an application. If your application was successfully submitted, you should see a notice on your screen stating that your application was submitted. You will not receive an email confirmation regarding the submission of your grant application.

All applicants will be notified via email regarding the final status of their grant application. Please check your junk or spam folder if you do not see any notification after the first week in June. Second Round of Paycheck Protection Program

The application period for the second round of the Paycheck Protection Program (PPP) loans is open and applications will be accepted on a first-come, first-served basis until May 31, 2021. New borrowers and some existing PPP borrowers can apply.

How to Apply
SBA is currently accepting Second Draw PPP loan applications from participating lenders. Check with your bank to inquire if they are doing PPP loans or go here opens a new tab to find a lender.

The Baltimore Development Corporation (BDC) is working directly with these Community Development Financial Institution (CDFI) partners to extend PPP loans to new customers, with an emphasis on sole-proprietors and smaller businesses.

BGE Energizing Small Business Grants
BGE has pledged $15 million to assist Maryland’s small businesses with COVID-19 relief and recovery. Eligible businesses located in BGE’s service area can apply for a $20,000 BGE Energizing Small Business Grant Opens a new tab. This grant program is part of BGE's comprehensive Customer Relief and Energy Infrastructure Investment Plan, designed to help the state’s economic recovery from the pandemic. Design for Distancing: Reopening Baltimore Together
BDC is partnering with Neighborhood Design Center to develop tactical design concepts for urban public space configurations that can be implemented to create safe, socially distancing patronage of small businesses in our Main Streets and commercial corridors.
